Drinking water after food

“” Anupanam “‘ A sanskrit word= which means drinking water after food.

According to Ayurveda certain restrictions are given for ‘anupana ‘ lt plays many roles for digestion.

Anupana has got following properties it gives energy, fullfilness,  strength, prepare for digestion, and help for digestion

 Anupana described in Ayurveda 

Wheat  and Yava – anupanam Cold water

Curd, Alchohol and Honey – cold water

Rice peparatins , ghee, – Hot water only

Leafy Vegetales,  green gram — butter milk

If you drink water before food u will become lean

Water after food help to put on weight

water in between food gives rice to normalcy of weight 

Milk should be taken for weakness after certain diseases,  after long journey,  walking too much time in sunlight,  old age persons, Children etc 

Anupana restricted in certain conditions like breathing trouble, cough, nasal block,  injury in chest,  those who is ready to sing, speach etc

Avoid swimming, bathing, walking in sunlight, journey,  running, etc immediately after food
